| This unsigned superb quality antique Japanese flower basket has the unmistakable trademark handle and look of a Chikuichisai bamboo flower basket. Similar to one of the baskets in the bible of baskets, "Containing Beauty: Japanese flower Baskets", the bamboo handle with intertwined slender bamboo and double - interlocking 'V" knot (kunoji-musubi) and insect stich (mushi-kagari) rattan knots on the handle has to be the work of Chikuichisai. c.1900.
