| Wonderful antique Japanese Meiji Period Buddhist temple bronze water vessel. Thick, richly patinaed bronze. The lid has a well defined turtle on top while the middle basin has geometrical designs and a dragon spout. The base may have been re-attached a long time ago; the repair is quite aged and is indistinguishable from the piece. Impact piece. c.1890. (14" x 17") (36cm x 43cm).
