| Rich patina tea ceremony bamboo flower basket from early 1900's. Beautiful 'susdake' smoked bamboo has been used from old Japanese farmhouses, split and woven into a piece of art. This particular basket feature a diagonal insertion technique with wide strips being inserted between plaited weaves. A 'tomobuchi' rim is employed with upward curling strips to create the rim.
