| This large and solid Bizen vase is the work of one of Japan's leading Bizen kilns, Shoen. The original box is signed "Bizen yaki" Bizen ceramic, "Tsubo" vase, and the name Shoen. The wood firing and ash have produced remarkable colorings, shades and textures. One of the best pieces we have seen out of bizen in a long time. c.1973. Extremely heavy item.
