Contemporary Japanese Ceramic Tsubo Signed Mizuno Hideo

Elegant wide mouthed vase styled after woven silk patterns (shimame) by Kyoto artist Mizuno Hideo in signed box. Born in Nagano to a famous pottery family, Mizuno came to Kyoto to study under the famous Okabe Mineo. He has won numerous prizes at the Nihon Dento Kogei Ten and Asahi Togei Ten. c.1960.
