| This is an ultimate example of the Japanese flower basket for use in the art of Ikebana and Tea. A rich patina and the essence of wabi-sabi. The basket is unsigned in the Japanese 'wagumi' style but it offers us a top class masterpiece. The bamboo has been aged and leeched and then woven using a fine plait and with intertwined bamboo swirling around the length of the basket. Absolutely great condition. c.1920.
