| Wonderful sitting buddha with background gold leaf design with swirling buddhist clouds. The facial expression very serene and rich patina from age. Meiji Period c. 1880. The buddha sits on a black lacquered stand with makie cranes in gold. the band around the stand has buddhist carvings but is missing a small part of the band in back.
