A fine Japanese cloisonne box depicting a cherry tree and birds in front of a bridge over a pond, all within a tranquil Zen garden. The base of this fine piece is also enameled and finely decorated with metal wires. Inside of the box the gilt metal lid (which is slightly worn) and the base are engraved with a scene of songbirds in flight amid a bamboo grove. This wonderful signed Japanese vase captures Japans country side transitioning into fall. The motif depicts a quaint Japanese village in the mountains. A fine Japanese cloisonne vase depicting two songbirds in flight amongst a plum tree. At the base of the plum tree there is a variety of flowers including tulips, and peonies. This fine piece has a metal throat along with top and bottom mounts and is in great condition with a flea bite on the lower left side of the vase. No loss of enamel but can be felt with finger nail. A really fine cabinet piece for any collector. 7 ¼ in tall Later Meiji.

A wonderful Japanese cloisonne vase depicting two doves sitting side by side in a blooming cherry tree. The background is done with dark green translucent enamel and goldstone, making the motif come to life. This fine piece has some stress lines in the back of the vase. A superb Japanese round inlaid wood kogo with encrusted decoration. On the finely polished turned wood form, a Taoist figure is shown reading a meditational text while performing the chore of carrying heavy bundles of sticks. The motif of this Japanese cloisonne vase is that of a beautiful Cattleya flower. The enamel colors are very vibrant and wonderfully shaded. The wire work is done both Gold and silver colored wire. The top and bottom mount are chrome plated with only minimal light scratching. A fine Japanese cloisonne musen box depicting Mt. Fuji and clouds on a green enamel background. The musen work on this piece is some of the best we have scene. The inside of this excellent piece is lined with silk in a karakusa pattern. On the base of the box there is the silver wire Ando seal. This fine piece is 5 ½ in by 4 in with a height of 2 in. and has no chips, cracks, or repairs. C. 1930 Signed Ando.

This fine vase was made by the Okura workshop. The Okura workshop is renowned for the brilliant white color of their porcelain. They were able to achieve this because the clay they used is some of the best quality found,enabling it to withstand extreme heat, producing the brilliant white color. The motif consists of a rose in full bloom done in gold, silver, and black. This piece stands 11 in. tall and is in original mint condition, with no loss of gold work or restoration.
