A fine Japanese cloisonne vase depicting two songbirds in flight amongst a plum tree. At the base of the plum tree there is a variety of flowers including tulips, and peonies. This fine piece has a metal throat along with top and bottom mounts and is in great condition with a flea bite on the lower left side of the vase. No loss of enamel but can be felt with finger nail. A really fine cabinet piece for any collector. 7 ¼ in tall Later Meiji.

A wonderful Japanese cloisonne vase of ovoid form with a short collared neck. The motif consist of two flying kirin, the fabulous mythical creature with the head of a dragon and the hooves of a deer, flying amongst blue stylized clouds over a stormy sea. This striking Japanese vase was done in the Gin-Bari fashion where numerous strips of paper thin silver foil are embossed with a design then overlaid with translucent enamels. Japanese Basse-Taille vase of ovoid form and a short collared neck. This fine vase is done in the Basse-Taille fashion on a metal body. The background translucent enamel is a wonderful deep ruby red over deeply engraved bamboo on a stippled background. The mounts along with the throat are done in brass. The piece is in excellent condition with only one very small ding that is hard to see. This wonderful vase is a signed Kumeno and stands 2 ½ in. tall. c.1895.

This is a wonderful Japanese cloisonne vase signed by Ando with 6 Egrets in a continuous egret pattern set on a light blue background. This piece is in good condition. Just below the top shoulder there is one ding that can be felt with finger nail (see last picture) and a stress line that goes through the egret’s body on the bottom of the vase. This is a fine Japanese cloisonne vase with a beautiful wisteria branch flowing down from the top shoulder. The entire motif is outlined in silver wire with wonderful musen shading within the wisteria blossoms. This piece is in original mint condition with 3 bake lines from the original firing.
