This fine vase was made by the Okura workshop. The Okura workshop is renowned for the brilliant white color of their porcelain. They were able to achieve this because the clay they used is some of the best quality found, enabling it to withstand extreme heat, producing the brilliant white color. The motif consists of a rose in full bloom done in gold, silver, and black. This piece stands 11 in. tall and is in original mint condition, with no loss of gold work or restoration.

This large Japanese Blue and White porcelain vase has the motif of a flower box containing chrysanthemums and peony blossoms done in very high relief. The vase is quite large measuring 14 inches tall by 9 inches wide and has a nice solid weight. The condition is excellent with only two of the chrysanthemum petals damaged (see last two pictures). No Restoration. While the piece is signed, as of yet I do not have a translation. The vase dates from the Taisho to early Showa era.
