| A fine Japanese cloisonne box depicting a cherry tree and birds in front of a bridge over a pond, all within a tranquil Zen garden. The base of this fine piece is also enameled and finely decorated with metal wires. Inside of the box the gilt metal lid (which is slightly worn) and the base are engraved with a scene of songbirds in flight amid a bamboo grove. This wonderful cloisonne box is in excellent condition and has a height of 4 ¼ in. and a width of 4 ¾ in. While unsigned this piece is attributed to Inaba Nanaho. C. 1920’s | |||||||||||||
