| Japanese antique KANSHIRO FUCHI and KASHIRA Set with wave and road design. It is with a N.B.T.H.K Hozon Certificate. Good Condition. FUCHI SIZE: 40.5 X 21.7 x 7mm. KASHIRA SIZE: 32.3 X 15.8 x 8.2mm. NISHIGAKI KANSHIRO (1613~1693) born in Fukuoka is one of the most famous Higo kinko artists in the early Edo period. Follow us on Twitter!! https://twitter.com/#!/kurikarajapan He learned kinko from HIRATA HIKOZO, and was directly employed by the Hosokawa Daimyo. The characteristic of Higo School is the works which represented aesthetic sense of Zen taken along with HIGASHIYAMA culture of Kyoto due to coaching from the military commander, HOSOKAWA YUSAI. The word " KANSHIRO " is clearly stated in certificates for only the first generation works. Stated NISHIGAKI after second generation works. | ||
