T001 Japanese Antique Zogan Tsuba Signed JAKUSHI
Inlaid with sansui design (Japanese landscape) in gold. Signed "Jakushi". "Jakushi" is one of the tsuba schools of "Hizen-no-kuni Nagasaki ju." It is said that "Jakushi" was directed by "Kawamura Jakushi", who was a bushi of "Ryuzoji" family, and at the same time a "Nanga" (Chinese scroll paint) artist, and then he designed it on this plate. He was good at designs of especially Chinese landscape, a dragon, and a bamboo. Gold *nunome zogan is thick, and in quite good condition. / * the surface of the tsuba is cut with a cross hatch pattern and metal is pressed in. / Iron, "Koniku-kakumimi" (a slightly rounded square rim).
