Art nouveau -jugendstihl - secessionist -all have designs drawn from nature. This majolica humidor appears to be German or Austrian from the design and the numerical markings to the base. Wonderful flowing design of artichokes with flowing background and artichoke finial.
Size is 4.5" wide and deep and 6" tall.Condition is excellent with three tiny flakes to inside lip of the base.
A large Julius Dressler hand painted colorful majolica tazza with two putti in the style of Michael Powolny. Height is 14", width is 14". Condition is good with wear to the coloration of the bowl, a tight stress hairline across the middle of the bowl that does not extend to the edges, several shallow chips to the base and rubbing to the metallic glaze of the rim and base. There is also kiln frit embedded in the clear glaze of the base - see images. Sounds much worse than it is - this has a massive presence and is absolutely stunning Austrian art pottery.
