Fine Wood & Hughes silver pie server with floral decoration. This is a heavy, engraved and stippled server for that quintessential American dessert. Length is 11", width is 2 3/4". Condition in excellent with age appropriate patina.
Finely hand engraved Martin Hall silver plate basket with classical themes. The inspiration for this iconography may have been the discovery of the Alexander Sarcophagus" in Lebanon in 1887. Width is 10 3/4", height to top of bail is 8 1/2". Execution of the hand engraving is masterful with only condition issue a couple of spots to the plate in the bottom of the bowl. The finest of English silver plate. I have additional images available.
This is a wonderful early Whiting pattern. Length is 7 1/2", width of bowl 2 1/8". Condition is very good with age appropriate patina, no flaws. Lovely hand engraved decoration to the generous bowl.
Heavy sterling ladle with gilded bowl. Hallmarked London 1851. Length is 6 1/2", bowl is 2 1/4" in diameter. Engraved with a stag's head cypher. Condition is excellent.
