Early, simple Salopian type pearlware jug with wonderful pastoral transfer in unusual blue-grey color. Perhaps this was a scene the decorator saw out the window as he worked. Height is 6", width is 5 1/2". Condition is excellent with glazed over lip chip done in the making (see image).No cracks but some use discoloration to foot. Note the blue outline to the top edge of this jug. |
