| Graceful modernist blown glass hourglass in olive green glass by Venini, circa 1950s. The piece is made of a single piece of glass, and is extremely well balanced. I have been unable to find a signature, but both the design and execution are very well documented. The piece has an indented polished pontil and flat polished rim on one side, and a permanent cork stopper surrounded by a flat polished rim on the other. The finish on both ends of the piece gives further credence towards this being a Venini hourglass and not an imitation. The object measures just under 7.5" tall and is in excellent condition.
