Unusual sculpture by Nuutajarvi, the oldest glass factory in Finland. This flattened clear crystal block has a stylized humorous fish drawn with air bubbles in the interior. Signed "Nuutajarvi Notsjo." The piece measures 5.75 x 4" x 1.25."
It appears that this item was originally mounted in some way, as there is a narrow pin-width hole at the bottom and also two very narrow slits at each top edge (see close-up), which looks like they were meant for use as anchors. Excellent condition with one tiny shallow flaw on the bottom edge measuring less than 2mm which I believe to be a popped air bubble. |
