Fabulous rare early necklace and bracelet set by noted Taxco designer Antonio Castillo. The wing-like design of this set gives the piece a soft, fluid quality. Each piece is articulated, making this heavy set very comfortable. The necklace measures just under 18" long and 1.25” wide. The bracelet is the same width, and 7.25" long. Each piece has a hook claps, which is easy to take on and take off, but very secure when latched. This circa 1940s set is correctly hallmarked with Los Castillo's early linear stamp as shown, and the model number 184. The necklace is 980 silver, which is a higher silver grade then sterling. The bracelet is marked sterling. Necklace weighs a substantial 125.5 grams, the bracelet is 44.4 grams. In excellent vintage condition. |
