Heavy sommerso lamp base attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte, circa 1950s. In blue glass cased inside a thick layer of color changing purple neodymium glass. This glass, also called Alexandrite, appears lavender in natural light, but pale blue under fluorescent lighting. The lamp base is factory drilled on the base, and ready for mounting. It has a flattened form and measures 10" tall, 9" wide, and 4" deep. In good condition with some interior dirt and haze that I have not attempted to clean. |
