A remarkable concert violin in wonderful condition with beautiful sound, originally thought to be School of, but now accepted as being made by Jean Baptiste Deshayes Salomon; varnish is all original, the neck is grafted; one small crack top right of back and one small rib crack, both repaired by W.E. Hills and Sons, London, who also issued the certificate shown in the photos; 36.8 cm back length, 32.7 cm string length
