This is a fur clip that was sold by R. Goossens from his own collection. It is only signed "France" on the back. The pearls are laid out and then have three big rhinestone -studed "berries" dangling.
This is an item for a true collector. As the story goes, Mr. Lane was invited to put his new line of jewelry in the side window at Bergdorf Goodman's in NYC. Needless to say it sold right out. This set is very fragile but all there. I think it should be shadow-boxed in a dressing room as a real piece of costume jewelry history!
This is an unsigned necklace by CHANEL, w/ baroque and mabe pearls. little gilt spacers and larger oval gilt fittings and amber poured glass beads, all strung on a gilt chain. I think it is probably from the early 30's and is very similar to several that Chanel wore a lot around this time.
A poured glass, rhinestone and gilt pendant by GRIPOIX, undoubtedly for CHANEL though unsigned - it measures approx. 3" all around. Probably before 1965.
These are very unusual, early CORO fur clips - cinnibar set in gilt filigree border - they measure 2" in diameter and have a safety catch on the back. From what I know about CORO I would guess these are from 1929-1935 - the first years of the company.
An early dress clip in a deco design, with rhinestones and paste in a silver metal. Signed R.DeRosa on the clip. It is 2 1/4" wide and just over 1"high and looks very real. Probably from the 1930's
These are very well made flower earrings w/ coral centers and rhinestones prong set in gold metal. They have french backs that are marked "France" and measure 1" in diameter and almost 3/4" deep.
This is a HASKELL brooch that is unsigned but appears in several costume jewelry books. It is composed of enameled green/copper leaves, enamel butterflies and a wood flower w/ rhinestones in center. She used wood during WW2 to conserve metal.
The brooch measures 3"w x 2"h.
This pair of gilt metal and large center mabe pearl earrings are signed CHANEL with 3 stars(for a couture collection) They measure just under 1 1/2" in diameter. The two layers of petals give them a 3-D look.
