This signed CHANEL necklace was designed by Robert Goossens in the early 60's. It is approx. 15" long plus a 1 1/2" extender and hook - nine heavy gilt metal plaques (1 1/2 " ea.) with raised byzantine crosses. The connecting links are wide enough to hang a CHANEL pendant brooch from.
This is an incredible early (1930's-40's) signed pair of HASKELL earrings - ruby glass and rhinestones set in three dimensional, 3" long, gilt, renaissance-styled pendant earrings. They are completely finished on the front and back and signed MIRIAM HASKELL on the back of the clips
This sign measures 41" wide x 26" tall x 1.25" planks. It shows restoration and varnish covering with older painting flaking in places. There is a 2" damaged corner' as shown in a photo, in the lower left. I have not been able to determine the age of the sign. The wood is old but, with the exception of the damaged corner, quite solid.
There are five 7 x 9" plates, stamped J.S. Johnston, views and marine photo, NY. The photos are of E. Burgess Warren's 19th century speed record holding steam yacht Ellide. There are comments on the reverse of two of the photos. One has a title on the face, "Ellide" Oct.30. 1897.The reverse describes her speed, making 40.2 mph, one mile in 1 29 1/2.
