Very Unusual 19th Century Copper Luster Staffordshire Figural Toby Jug. This wonderful item stands 7" tall and 5 1/2" across at the widest point. The jug is in the form of a traditional "TOBY" holding a Pitcher of Stout himself.. The item is covered in a rich and highly reflective Copper Luster Finish. Since the entire items exterior is covered in Copper Luster, no makers marks are visible. There is a half moon shaped hairline to the back lower section of the jug that starts on one side of the handle, goes below it and then upward on the other side. This appears to have very possibly have been caused in the original firing process before the Copper Luster was applied to the form because the hairline actually travels beneath the copper luster as it curves upward toward each of its ends. We have greatly considered this very tight hairline situation and have heavily adjusted the price so that the a very expensive Rarity of Copper Luster can be afforded by all! No other damage or repairs. Shipping is $10.00 in the Continental U.S. Insurance is available for an additional fee.

Beautiful Early Oval Patch or Snuff Box of Green Porcelain. This item is embellished with a GOLD HAND PAINTED BEE on the lid, Laurel band around the body, and a leaf sprig inside both the lid and the bottom interior of the box. The hinge and mounts appear to be of Brass or Bronze, and has at one time or another been reset, but is not damaged and is all original. The box does have one tiny flea bite glaze flake on the very bottom. It is glazed in a rich deep Green and the Antique Gold decorations make this a stunning and subtle example. The box is un-signed, but we assume that it is either English or French of the 19th Century or earlier. The box measures 1 3/4" tall, 2 1/2" across and 1 1/2" deep. Other than the noted flea bite which is very hard to see at all, there are no chips, cracks or repairs (metal work had been re-glued to the body though long ago). Shipping Fee is $7.50 plus Optional Insurance Upon Request in the Continental U.S.

Very Early Marked DOULTON LAMBETH High Gloss, multi colored Oriental Maiden w/Fan Decoration. A Parade of These Ladies circles the entire body of the pot. Impressed underglaze daisies above and lines below. Blue Underglaze color and white figures. The base is weekly impressed with the Doulton Lambeth device, what appears to be the date of 1881 #s 8960 and qb. There are several tiny rub spots on the high points of the figures, and one ladies foot seems to have had a glaze pop and is missing. The underside of the lid flange that sits into the base has several small edge chips, but can not be seen when the lid is on. This is RARE Example of Early Doulton work. No Cracks or Repairs. Shipping Fee is $8.50 plus Optional Insurance Upon Request in the Continental U.S.
