SOLD 

This magnificent sewing needle packet holder is an Avery box in the shape of a butterfly.It was sold by Mappin & Webb in London and Sheffield and has the design registry mark.It is brass, in wonderful condition and dates from the 1870's. The wing span is 4 7/8". The detail is incredible. Hard to believe this was a commercial container!

SOLD 

This ca 1870's sewing needle packet holder is a wonderful example of Victorian whimsey and decorative chromolithography. The overall height is 2 3/4" and when open extends about 6 3/4". The china thimble is repaired and the lid hinge also shows wear and repair.A little bit of Dresden paper is missing on the pincushion lid.

Lustre finish china elephant pincushion has a very geometric looking art deco design. Made in Japan in the 1930's. it is in excellent condition. 3" tall and 3" long.

Four drawer advertising Willimantic thread cabinet stating on each of the drawers in succession: SPOOL COTTON WILLIMANTIC SOFT FINISH BEST THREAD FOR SEWING MACHINES. The cabinet is 24"long, 15 3/4" deep and 14" tall. The drawers are about 2 1/2" deep. The front is oak, the secondary woods are poplar or spruce. The cabinet,hardware and lettering are all original and in very nice condition .Dates pre WWI.

Delightful 7 piece suite of wicker and wood garden room furniture for the toy dollhouse. The scale is more or less 1" to the foot. The set consists of a sofa, an armchair with a magazine holder, a rocker, a tall stand, a library type table,a standing lamp and shade, and a bird cage and stand. The lamp and birdcage are about 6 1/2"tall.The seats of the sofa and the rocker are about 1 1/2" off the floor. Great looking chocolate mould of horse heads surrounded by horseshoes. Mark appears to be that of Anton Reiche. However, the presence of the word "Hamburg" is a puzzle as Reiche worked in Dresden. Hamburg may be the city of the distributor .It is 12 3/8" long,5" tall and 3/4"deep.Pre 1930, and in very good condition.

This unusual chocolate mould flat portrays 6 heads of American Indian chiefs. It is marked L.F. Teich Wien #1290. It's 7 1/8" long, 5" wide and 1/2" deep. It is in good condition (needs a little bit of cleaning) and dates to the early 20th century.

This double figure ice cream mould is a handsome bride and groom. The maker is Kraus,number 627. Condition is very good . The mould has been polished. Dimensions are 5"tall, 3 1/2"wide and 2 1/8"deep.

SOLD 

This little 19th century squeak toy is 2 3/4" by 1 3/8". The bird on the front,a lithograph of a woodcut, asks the question on the back "ARE YOU COO-COO?"Although the bellows show considerable wear, the sweet little bird still squeaks,although softly. It has been singing for 130 years or more.
