This 1930's Kingsbury fire truck is a most impressive toy. It measures about 36" in length at the maximum. The width is about 9 1/2". It has been in storage since the early 40's. The condition is very good. I have tried to take as many pictures as possible so that you can judge the condition. It needs a very good dusting. It all is original - the only exception I can see is possibly the string that is used in raising the ladders. The fire bell is intact and works, however the str ...click for details

This toy dachshund undulates as it is pulled. It is a delightful image of the dog, tongue hanging out, lithographed on heavy cardboard. From its head to the tip of its tail it wiggles as it is pulled because of its sectional construction. It is marked "Wilder Mfg.Co. Patent, and I'm pretty sure the next word is Pending". The word is slightly obscured by one of the two sets of wooden wheels the dachshund uses to travel. My guess is that the toy probably dates from the '40's ...click for details

This piggy bank is a cream color with a sponged design of terracotta, blue and brown. While I have often heard this type of pottery bank ascribed to Roseville, I have also seen similar banks identified as made in Vienna. Both designations agree that it dates to the early 20th century. This size appears to be more unusual. 4 1/4" long by 3 3/4" tall. There is glaze wear on the ear tips (more on the right than the left), a little bit on the snout and some on the bottoms of the trotters. T ...click for details

Early 20th German (possibly Heyde) lead and tin figure standing on a sled leading a team of 4 huskies. The figure appears to be dressed as an Eskimo ca. early 1900's. A great piece for a winter scene or a Christmas layout. 5" at its longest and 2" at its tallest. The lead dog has a paint chip off the face(on the right side) ,the other dogs are excellent. The figure has a tiny paint chip on the face. The sled shows some paint wear.Despite these problems the figure presents very nicel ...click for details

Charming set of lithographed paper on wood spelling blocks. One side of these blocks shows A-Zs and the other side A-Zs with the corresponding words and pictures. The set is made in Germany around the turn of the century, most probably for the English market. Each block is 1 3/16" square, 3/8" thick, and in very nice condition. The entire original box measures 7 1/2" x 5". The label on the box is excellent, lid and bottom are fine, sides of the box are broken.
