Edwardian Raj Era Gold Mounted Large Tiger Claw Brooch

This is an Edwardian Raj era Gold mounted Tiger claw brooch or pin, almost certainly made in India during the British Colonial period, & dating to around c.1910

The claw has twin, unmarked Gold mounts : a full cap covering the top & a band around the tip, with both mounts having a chased scrolling foliate design to the front.

The brooch has a hinged, curved pin & safety clasp fixing.

Condition is Fine, with no damage. The only point to note is the natural wear to the claw.

The brooch is a large example & measures approx 1 7/8" or 4.8cm maximum length.

Due to the full end cap, the brooch could be easily converted, by a jeweller, to a pendant.
