This is an Edwardian Raj era Gold mounted Tiger claw brooch or pin, almost certainly made in India during the British Colonial period, & dating to around c.1910 The claw has twin, unmarked Gold mounts : a full cap covering the top & a band around the tip, with both mounts having a chased scrolling foliate design to the front. The brooch has a hinged, curved pin & safety clasp fixing. Condition is Fine, with no damage. The only point to note is the natural wear to the claw. The brooch is a large example & measures approx 1 7/8" or 4.8cm maximum length. Due to the full end cap, the brooch could be easily converted, by a jeweller, to a pendant.
