This is a George VI, substantial solid sterling silver napkin or serviette ring, by the silversmiths Atkin Bros - Harry Atkin, & fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1942. The ring is of a plain design & has the Art Deco style engraved initials 'KSJ'. The ring is fully hallmarked with the makers mark 'HA' (for Atkin Bros - Harry Atkin), the crown (Sheffield), the lion passant (925 sterling), & the date letter 'z' (for 1942 - 43). The ring is approx 1 1/4" high & 1 7/8" in diameter (3.2 cm x 4.7 cm), and weighs 66.5 g, 2.35 oz, or 2.14 Troy. Condition is Fine, there is just the normal, very light surface marks associated with a 66 year old ring - please see the magnified photographs. All in all, a solid, heavy quality ring from the WW II period.
