WW2 Royal Army Ordnance Corps Matchbox Holder

This is a British made celluloid & tin plate matchbox cover or grip, dating to the World War Two period, 1939 - 1945.

The front & rear of the cover have the RAOC insignia with the motto 'Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense' (evil to him who evil thinks).

The spine of the cover has 'ROYAL ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS', & 'BRITISH MADE'.

The RAOC are a former Corps of the British Army, who in 1993, amalgamated with other Corps to form the Royal Logistic Corps.

Condition of the holder is good for age, there is the usual light foxing & a light dusting of surface rust to the interior - please see magnified photos.

The holder measures approx 5.5cm x 3.5cm x 2.2cm.
