Pair Victorian Silver Fobs: Deakin & Francis 1892/3
This is a pair of Victorian Silver fobs or medals, by the illustrious silversmiths Deakin & Francis, & both fully hallmarked for Birmingham, one for 1892 & the other for 1893.

Each fob is in the form of a variant of a Cross Pattee, with an applied central shield shaped cartouche, and an attached suspension ring to enable hanging from an Albert chain etc.

The front of the triangular arms of each fob have been chased with a floral / foliate design, & each cartouche is engraved with the initials 'B.C.C.' & the date, '1892' on one, & '1893' on the other.

The reverse of each fob is fully hallmarked with the makers mark 'D & F' (Deakin & Francis), the Anchor (Birmingham), the Lion Passant (925 Sterling), & the date letter 's' (1892 - 93) on one fob, & 't' (1893 - 94) on the other.

Condition is fine, with only the light surface wear that would be expected from 115 years - please see magnified photos.

Each fob is approx 1 1/8" or 2.8 cm square, although there is a very, very slight difference in size between the fobs.

The combined weight is 12.1 g, or 0.42 oz.
