This is a vintage plated travelling inkwell, with a sprung & hinged lid & original glass bottle, and dating to around the early 20th Century

The lid of the inkwell is secured via a hinged clasp, & a sprung push button opening. The interior lid contains a sprung 'ink stopper'.

The fitted, clear glass bottle has some sort of circular mark to the base, but is too rubbed to make out.

The inkwell has a gilded, or gold coloured finish, but most of this has been rubbed over time, particularly to the sides.

Condition is good, the exterior is rubbed but the interior is fine, & the hinge & sprung opening are great.

Dimensions are approx 1 3/4" x 1 5/8" (approx 4.8 cm x 4.2 cm).
