Pair Victorian Brass 'Good Luck' Candlesticks 11.5"

This is a pair of 11 3/8" Victorian brass ejector candlesticks impressed with 'GOOD LUCK' to the base, made in England by James Clew & Sons of Birmingham, & dating to around 1890.

The sticks have cut corner square bases, a large, six sided knob on the stem with each of the six sides being decorated with a concentric circle design, and the side of each base being stamped with 'GOOD LUCK' with a horseshoe motif in-between.

Both sticks have their original push-up ejection mechanisms, although the buttons are missing & the rods are seized (the original cork is present).

Condition of the sticks is Fine. The only points to note are that there are a few spots of tarnishing, & that one of the stems 'leans' a little (not unusual in this age of stick & easily rectified).

Each stick is approx 11 3/8" tall (approx 28.9cm), with a base measurement of approx 4 3/8" square (approx 11.1cm).

Overall, a fine, and very scarce, pair of large Victorian candlesticks, in good condition for their 120 years.
