Miniature Edwardian Silver Mounted Vases: London 1907

Please Note: We also have a matching pair of bowls listed.

This is a pair of small, Edwardian Silver rimmed ceramic vases, by the silversmiths Claydon, Robin & Co, and fully hallmarked for London 1907.

Each twin handled vase, reminiscent of an amphora in form, has been finished in a light apple green, with gilt highlights to the handles, & mounted with a Silver rim. The unglazed bases are unmarked.

The front of each vase has an oval, transfer printed & hand painted vignette of a country scene comprising a courting couple in Regency dress. Each vignette is surrounded by a decorative gilt border & the scene is different on each vase.

The Silver mounts are fully hallmarked with the makers mark 'C.R.& Co' (Claydon, Robin & Co), the leopards head (London), the lion passant (925 Sterling), & the date letter 'm' (1907 - 08).

Condition is Fine with no chips, cracks or restoration. The hallmarks on the rims are partially rubbed - please see magnified photos.

The vases stand approx 2 3/8" tall (approx 6cm).
