Nautilus Porcelain (Glasgow) Crested Ware Vase TAIN

This is a Nautilus Porcelain Co miniature crested ware vase, fully backstamped, & dating to between 1901 - 1913.

The front of the vase is decorated with the crest of TAIN, with the motto SPEM SUCCESSUS ALIT, whilst the rear of the vase features a thistle.

The base has the printed NAUTILIS PORCELAIN mark, which was used from 1901 until 1913. The Nautilus Porcelain Co (based in Glasgow, Scotland) was in existence from 1896 - 1913, but from 1898 - 1901 the firm was restyled as the Possil Pottery Co.

Condition is fine, with no damage other than light rubbing to the gilding around the rim.

The vase measures approx 2 1/4" or 6cm high.
