An extraordinary antique pair of Oaxacan earrings from Tehuantepec. These gusanos (worm-shaped) were crafted using 12k gold and natural pearls including seed pearls to adorn the central larger pearl enclosed with a gold crown. Antique Mexican earrings are hard to find as these pieces were not made for the tourist. These are authentic ethnic pieces. These earrings are for pierced ears. 2-1/4" long and 1/2" wide. Delicate and well-crafted early Mexico bracelet. This unique piece is simply marked "silver Mexico" but undoubtedly was made by the same Taller that made similar pieces for Fred Davis. This bracelet is more comfortable to wear than similar piece since it is constructed in oval rather than circular shape. Lovely mexican earrings from Oaxaca. This design is known as MONOS (bows). Clearly of Victorian inspiration, the style has been used in Oaxacan jewelry for a long time. These earrings are likely from the first half of the twentieth century. Quality of craftsmanship and gorgeous design. Large, heavy bracelet that would fit a man's wrist. Measures 8-1/4" in wearable length and 1-1/5" wide. This bracelet is likely from the 1980s and in the style of modernist Antonio Pineda. Hard to find these Victorian Style earrings are probably from the early 20th C. These earrings were probably produced in the state Guerrero neighboring the state of Oaxaca in Mexico. Iguala, the capital city of Guerrero, has been know for centuries to be an important center for some of the finest goldsmiths since the Spanish Colonial period. These earrings are 2.2 inches long and 2/3" wide at the bottom. Test as 12k. COLLECTOR QUALITY
