Outstanding pair of large earrings. These are made in gold and natural pearls. Testing at 12k these earrings are 2.5" long 1" wide and they weigh 14g.
Made probably in Oaxaca Mexico, these earrings are probably late 19th or early 20th C. They are superb, just like a pair owned by Frida Kahlo. These are very difficult to find and are true ethnic pieces from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. MUSEUM QUALITY

Finely crafted earrings in 12k gold. The earrings are known as "canastas" and the actual baskets are really weaved with the same technique as a larger basket. They measure 1" in width and 2" in length. The pearls are all natural pearls. Finely crafted with great attention to detail, the leaves are just small artistic agents that show the love for the craft of the maker. COLLECTOR QUALITY

During the 1800's in Yucatan, socialites wore the finest jewelry and had an active social life. Parties with live chamber music were routinely attended by several members of society, most of who were direct descendants of the Spanish. Their ...click for details

A unique find, this necklace was crafted using Imperial Mayan Jade beads dating from the Classic Mayan period ~300 CE. These beads were used by the nobility because the dark green brought jade was very scarce and more valuable than gold. Jade was the most precious possession in Pre Columbian Meso America. The Maya consider Jade sacred and also jade protected the wearer from any illness or accident. These beads are extremely precious. They were incorporated into the necklace with interspersed ...click for details
