A unique find, this is a vintage necklace marked MEXICO. The silver beads are hand made old beads and the amber is from the Simojovel deposits in Chiapas. The necklace is composed of various colors of amber that exist in this region. Including the rarest blue green. All beads have the natural fluorescence under UV light. The amber is top quality. The necklace is 24 inches long. Just a gorgeous necklace!

Exceptional necklace in the school of MATL. This piece was finely crafted and it is very old, dating to the first half of the 20th C. Made probably in the 1940's Signed Domingues, this silversmith's pieces clearly had the technique and quality of those made by Ms. Poulat. Amazing piece, this cuff is truly exceptional and was made by the Doris shop in Cuernavaca in the early 1940's. The flower is a design by Valentin Vidaurreta and one can speculate if he had any dealings with the Doris Corpus Artisans shop. Little is know about this shop and the puzzle may never be solved. Exceptional very early Matilde Poulat Bracelet. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece with perfect provenance and quality that is consistent with early 20th C when craftsmanship, quality and design were at the highest level . Probably from the late 1920's to the very early 1930's. One could speculate this necklace was hand made possibly by Matilde herself. The bracelet measures 7" in length.
