The ring is a size 6 and the opal montage is 1 inch wide and 1 inch tall. All opals are in good condition. The ring was made by Carmen Beckmann. Carmen lives in San Miguel Allende and is in her 90s. She is not producing much anymore and we understand that she produced mostly custom gold pieces in the last few years. From the 50s through the 70s she made many pieces using Mexican opals.COLLECTOR QUALITY

Extraordinary earrings dating probably to the late 19th C. These earrings are also known as "Estrellas" or stars. They are set in the Victorian style with mine-cut diamonds in silver on the front and rose gold as a backing. They are probably from the Oaxaca region of Mexico. True Gems. These earrings are becoming almost extinct as they are extremely hard to find. COLLECTOR QUALITY

This is a fantastic example of the earliest work done by LOS CASTILLO. This bracelet depicts a Pre-Columbian motif reminiscent of feathers. The Castillo bracelet is 6 1/4" in perimeter. It is 1" at the widest point. The marks are the earliest for Los Castillo. This mark was used between 1940 and 1945. The number 495 corresponds to the design number assigned to this bracelet. The bracelet has great hand-hammered marks inside, just a lovely piece of their earliest work. COLLECTOR QUA ...click for details

Vintage mid-century small earrings from Oaxaca. These earrings have a nice flower button design. Made probably in Oaxaca Mexico, they are 10k gold and fresh water pearls. The red stone is a glass rhinestone. The contrast of the white pearls and the red bead crowned by the gold brings these earrings alive. Treasure pieces like these are getting very difficult to find. This necklace can be dated to be from the early 1960s. This particular mark MATL and Salas in scrip is documented to have been used in the 1960 after Matilde passed away and Ricardo , who was already the silversmith and designer, took over the business on his own. Extraordinary and hard to find piece. The rarity/scarcity of the mark not only assists in dating the piece but it also further validates authenticity of this exquisite necklace. Elegant composition with predominant coral. This neckl ...click for details

A remarkable brooch made with a mosaic technique not seen frequently on MATL pieces. This Tulip flower brooch was crafted using minute fragments of coral, turquoise and obsidian. The signature corresponds to the earliest co-signed pieces used in the early 1960s. Although it is signed MATL and Salas, it is noteworthy that this piece is NOT an 'MS-12". The MS-12 mark began to be used in the 1980s. Therefore all MS-12 pieces are at most 25 years old but many are more recent. 1 3/4&qu ...click for details

Absolutely gorgeous these "front-facing" hoops were made probably in the region of Oaxaca. The earrings are 1 1/2: x 1 1/2". The stones are mounted on silver but the frames are rose gold. The stones are mine-cut. Amazing earrings made probably in the early 20th C. They are post earrings and this may be a recent modification since these earrings were mostly made with wire loop backs.
