| Vintage Mexican Matl snake set, comprised of necklace and bracelet made on heavy sterling wire. This set is a gorgeous example of the multiple techniques used by Ricardo Salas in the making of the MATL jewelry. The set is post-1960 but definitely an older set (perhaps from the 80s). The clasps are adorned with a figural of the head of a snake in turquoise. The bracelet has a safety chain. Both pieces are heavy and show no signs of damage or repairs. The necklace is 131g (4.6 oz) and the bracelet weighs 46 g (1.6 oz). The wearable length of the necklace piece is 45 cm (17 3/4")and the bracelet is 18.5 cm (7 1/4"). Both pieces are 2 cm (3/4")wide.
