Antique SPANISH COLONIAL Coral and Gold Necklace~19th C
Gorgeous example of Tamborin jewelry from the Philippines. This Spanish Colonial gold piece is 38 inches long. The necklace can be worn with or without the central reliquary pendant. The reliquary encases a gold cross between two small plates of crystal. The crystals appear to have been chased by hand as they show irregularities on the edge. This incredible piece was made using natural coral and high-purity gold (exceeds 14k when tested). A characteristic of the Tamborin jewelry is the fine detail of each hand-made gold bead. This is a rare, rare find. MUSEUM QUALITY
