Fine sculpture of Yakushi Nyorai Buddha ( Medicine Buddha ) depicted seated on the lotus dais and holding a medicine container in his left hand. This high quality sculpture is made by yoseki zukuri technique or joined block constraction. Crystals have been used as eye inserts . Image is in fairly good condition with expected abrasions and losses due to considerable age of the sculpture. Size : H. 60 cm , W. 30 cm , only the image is 25 cm tall

Very fine pair of Shishi , Lion like creatures serving as a guardian of the temples and shrines . Wood with traces of original lacquer and polychrome paint . Both images have dark glass eye inserts. Size: H. 28 cm , L. 24 cm Age: Mid Edo period , circa 1680-1750s Both sculptures are in very good shape with some minor insect damage and paint loss . Wood is strong and stable
