$1000

While no bronze that survives 2000 years is something to be snubbed, this particular axe head is extraordinary. Still sharp, the wet environment of the Red River Valley preserved this remarkably well, giving it a shiny black patina that has a mirror like finish on the back and much of the front. The minor pitting to part of the front and the remnants of wood that remain in the haft detract little form the overall aspect, and aid in confirming authenticity. Approximately 4.25 x 4.25 inches, 10 ...click for details

Asian bronze age culture's work, it is almost perfectly intact, and has a circular mark to the interior base where another item was stored within. It has a few small holes, mostly where casting spacers had been present. It also has had a little of the patina removed in a few isolated spots in an attempt to reveal more ...click for details
