Finely carved, with an incredible translucence. So much so that one can read standard print through the base under normal lighting conditions. Contemporary, 1.75 inches (4.5 cm.) in diameter.
This jadeite snuff bottle, carved from the same stone, features a floral and butterfly motif to the lid. Southeast Asian in a Chinese style, contemporary.

Finely carved from a single piece of jadeite, this small bottle, featuring a lotus motif, is Southeast Asian in origin but Chinese in design (Jadeite comes only from S.E. Asia). Predominantly lavender in color, it actually features all of the primary colors of jade, including flecks of imperial green.
Approximately 2.7 inches in height (6.5cm), and .5 inches in thickness (1.cm.).
