This large elephant bell, dating to the early 1920's, would have been worn around the neck of an elephant with the included stand. The stand, made of bamboo and teak, appears to be primarily original, the exception being the manner in which the bell is hung. That device uses newer wood and rubber. The rubber, from an inner tube, can be easily replaced or removed, but somehow it seems to suit as something similar would undoubtably been used.
