Outstanding Chinese water pitcher with a imperial yellow background and a floral motif with shades of blue, brown, pink, white, and a green leaf pattern. The pitcher has a large serpent handle. the pitcher is 20 1/2" tall and 17 1/2"wide from from spout to handle. the diameter at the base is 5 3/4" . the condition is excellent and the pitcher is circa late 1800's to pre i920.

This early 19th Century Chinese pillow box is beyond belief, it is one of the best examples of cloisonne art you will ever see. The pillow box was traditonally used for a womans wedding night to hold her dowry. The light blue color of enamel found in the background of this cloisonne box was popularized by the first female emperess of China. A peacock and rose landscape adorn the top.
