Engraved foliate designs decorate the front and back calling card case of this antique sterling silver chatelaine. The top hook is crafted in the shape of a fleur-de-lis. The front of the calling card case is engraved with initials that appear to be AER. The case measures 4 1/2" in width, 3 3/4 in height and approximately 1 in depth. With the chain, the piece measures 12 in height. Circa: 1898.
This antique sterling silver art nouveau coiner chatelaine dangles from a belt buckle pin. A lovely repousse design covers both the coiner and the elongated connecting link. The coiner is spring loaded and perfectly fits a dime inside. The entire piece measures 3 1/2" in length while the buckle pin measures 1 1/2" in width and the coiner 1 1/8 in length and 7/8 in width. This magnificent antique plique-a-jour and vermeil art nouveau necklace has an understated elegance. Like stained glass, the plique-a-jour shows its lovely colors when lit from behind.
