Pretty pair of mid century Italian tole sconces with porcelain flowers. The are for candles and measure approximately 17" by 9". One flower is missing part of a petal, which you will be able to see in the 2nd enlargement.

This is a wonderful piece of folk art that probably dates to the middle of the 20th century. The frame is elaborately adorned with small seashells, pearls of varying sizes, rhinestones, both red and aurora. The large shells are decorated individually, with pearls and rhinestones in between the spines on the shell and in the opening. This is a pair of perfectly charming English houses in watercolor. One is a vine covered thatched cottage with gothic windows down and in the dormers, and a conservatory. The other is of classical design, set among trees, and bears the title, Petit Menage, Jersey. This is a delightful small painting of a Caribbean or West Indian young black woman, balancing a basket of fruit on her head. Her clothes are fabulous red and pink dots and stripes on white, with a matching scarf around her head, and a blue sash around her waist. She has dangly earrings and bracelets. She is very beautiful, and her pose suggests she knows it. It is well painted, slightly primitive, and signed F. Delmas in the lower right corner. This set of faience plates bear the 1904-1922 mark. They are approximately 10" in diameter. They are of rustic design in iron red, with a simple border and a single flower in the center. All of the plates have slight roughness to the edge and one plate has a hairline that runs from the edge to the center of the plate (pictured). The price reflects the one damaged plate.

This is just excellent. This small stand would have been for storage of sewing implements, with a divided box on the top and an undivided box on the bottom. Made of bamboo and sisal, the stand has very nice details around the skirt as well as small wooden tassels that hang from all sides of the arches that decorate the top. Good impressionist painting of a landscape with haystacks. Good brushwork and play of light and shadow. Nicely framed in a gilt frame with a liner. The frame has minimal wear. The painting is in very good condition, and dates to mid to early 20th century. Signed in the lower right corner. This painting is a good large size that will make an impact in a room. The measurements as framed are approximately 25" by 27".
