Offered here are three sterling silver napkin rings, each with a number instead of a monogram. They bear the mark for Birmingham 1913-14. There is a maker's mark but it is not one I have been able to identify. These are priced individually. (Two of these have now sold. The number 7 napkin ring is still available.)

This is surely the most whimsical candlestick I've seen lately. It is a metal figure of a pig strewn with gilt metal corn stalks with a candle cup on the top. The pig rests on a green marble base. The pig looks like pewter but it may not be. It's quite heavy, weighing over 3 pounds. The candlestick is about 5" tall and the base measures 8" by 4". There are no marks on it but it is clearly 20th century...maybe 30 or so years old. It's terribly cute.

Offered here is a small round box made of ivory and tortoiseshell. The top is decorated with a lavender guilloche enamel and gold medallion with a deep red stone set in the center. The inside of the box is tortoiseshell and there are thin bands of tortoiseshell around the outside of the box. I doubt that the stone is genuine but I do not know about the gold on the top. The ivory has the pretty graining you would expect and the color is nice and mellow. I would say the box would be late 19th ...click for details

This is a fabulous tole piece that I was delighted to find. It is a candle holder in the form of an anthurium plant. I've never seen one before. It has abundant blooms and foliage wrapped around the petal form candle cup in a range-y, loose arrangement. The leaves and the flowers are all hand painted with each leaf and flower individually shaded to mimic nature, but rendered naively enough to be utterly charming. Certainly it has some paint loss and I suppose it could be cleaned (if you ...click for details

Offered here is a very handsome tray, hand painted in the Regency style with an armorial motif. It is decorated with restraint (you know by now that I love that), leaving the beautiful form and the simple graphics of the striping to make the statement. The tray has wear, as you would expect, but no damage. It is signed ELC and dated 1935. The tray measures 22.5" by 16.5".

here we have a beautiful, hand enameled dresser box or jar, in the Moser style. The color is deep turquoise with flowers in pale blue, and other decorations in white and gold. The box has the typical ormolu trimmings and closure, and all parts are in fine working order. There is some wear to the gilt enamel on the sides where fingers have grasped the box over the years. The box is about 4.5" high and 4" in diameter. Circa 1920 maybe.

Offered here is a splendid sterling silver hand chased jug with a lid by Bailey, Banks & Biddle dating to about 1910. This exquisite jug has chased designs of scrolls, flowers and foliage covering the entire jug and the lid. The edges are c-scrolls and tight little roses, and the handle has a single blossom on the top and at the bottom. The handle has ivory insulators in two places.
