Offered here is a good, smallish painting by listed artist, Edna Gass (1901-1991), Philadelphia and Florida. The painting is oil on canvas board, depicting a loose arrangement of vegetables on a surface with a profusion of leafy greens in the background. The colors are fresh looking and beautiful. Offered here is a portrait of two beautiful Irish Setters by Ernest Hart and published by New York Graphic Society Fine Art Publishers. I cannot find a reproduction of this print anywhere, including in the publisher's archives, but I believe that it was published between 1950-1960. It is framed in an uninspired 1" wood frame and it is not matted. These are wonderful dogs (I know because I've had one!)and this is a lovely and sensitive portrait of two on their very best behavior. ...click for details

Offered here is a delightful painting of a landscape with a stream or small river running through a forest. The painting has the lovely flat planes and vaguely Asian feel to it that you see in some of the paintings of the Arts & Crafts Movement. This is a misty scene that gives the painting a feeling of tranquility. It is signed Walter Neis 9/29. I have never found out who he might have been, The painting measures approximately 16.5" by 12.5", not including the frame.

Offered here is a wonderful painting by R. Gonzalez painted in 1990. It is large and whimsical, great colors and easy to ship...because it is not on a stretcher. I bought it out of town and had it taken off of the stretcher and rolled up so I could bring it home. As I said, it's quite large. The image is 82" high by 43" across. Offered here is a wonderful oil painting of a woman in a scarf or, more accurately, a babushka (did I spell that right?). Painted in cubist style in beautiful colors of rose, red, blues and purple. It is signed Ellie Allen, who is not a listed artist as far as I can tell. It is framed in a large gilt wood frame. The condition is fine. The painting measures approximately 12" by 14" in the frame. The sight dimensions are approximately 7" by 9".

It appears to be dusk or very early morning. It is signed in the lower right corner. M.E.King. It is framed in a gold frame that has been painted. The site dimensions are 11.5" by 8.5". The frame, at the corners measures 16.5" by 13.5".

When I bought this painting I first thought, Oh good, I can clean this right up with my new cleaning stuff! But I looked at it for a little while and decided I quite like it just as it is. Offered here is an early 20th century pastel painting of hounds with a fox in an English landscape. It is not signed but is a well rendered picture with good composition and colors that are are good and clear. The pastel is framed in a 19th century gilt wood frame. The acid free mat is new and the glass is conservation glass. The image is 15.25" by 10.5". The frame is 19.75" by 15.25".
