Offered here is a most endearing scene of baby duckings curiously examining a frog, who seems to be equally curious about them. The painting is very nicely done, although it is not signed. The painting is framed in a modern frame. It is in excellent condition. The painting measures 15.5" by 13.5" in the frame. The image is approximately 10.5" by 7.5". It appears to be 19th century.
Here we have an early 19th century painting of a young child, or putti with red curls, piercing brown eyes, very much of the Italian school (although English school is written on the back). The coloration in the painting is beautiful. The child has creamy pale skin and the face is wonderful. It is framed in a contemporary baroque style frame.
